When you are looking for a student house in Swansea, there is quite a lot to think about. How many people you are living with, how much you want to spend and where you actually want to live.
The different areas of Swansea all have a slightly different feel to them, so we thought we would have a bit of fun with it!
Here is our take on what each area says about you.
Brynmill
- you are probably quite a social person and like having your friends close by.
Brynmill is really popular with students and it is especially handy if you are at Singleton Campus. You are close to university, close to your friends and there is usually something going on.
If you like being around people and do not want to be too far away from everything, Brynmill could be the place for you!
You are probably the person who is always making plans and somehow ends up going out even when you said you were staying in.
Uplands
- you are the one who always knows where to go for food and drinks.
Uplands has a really nice student atmosphere and there are lots of places to eat and have a drink. It is a good choice if you like having things nearby but still want to be in an area that feels a bit more relaxed.
You probably like going out, trying different places and meeting up with friends.
You are also probably the person who says you are only going out for one drink and then comes home much later than planned.
Sketty - you like having things nearby, but you also like some peace and quiet.
Sketty is a little quieter than some of the other student areas, which can be nice when you have had a long day at university and just want to come home.
It is still convenient for getting around Swansea and there is a few rows of nice shops in the area, so you are not too far away from everything.
You are probably the person who enjoys going out but also really looks forward to getting home and having a quiet night.
City Centre - you want everything close by.
Living in the City Centre means you have shops, restaurants, pubs, bars and plenty of other things right on your doorstep.
You do not really want to spend ages travelling somewhere when you could just walk there. It is also handy if you like going out in Swansea and want to be close to everything.
You are probably always doing something and rarely have a completely free weekend.
So, which one are you?
There is obviously no right or wrong answer. It really depends on what you want from where you live.
If you want to be close to Singleton and around lots of other students, Brynmill could be for you.
If food, pubs and a good atmosphere are important, you might prefer Uplands.
If you want somewhere a little quieter, Sketty could be a good fit.
And if you want pretty much everything on your doorstep, there is always the City Centre.
